I really enjoyed this romance between Logan Reed, a Tattoo artist and deaf mute who is usually a hit it and quit it kind of guy with the ladies and Kit, a homeless girl who plays guitar in the subway station for dollars and change. Logan’s brothers were clearly sequel bait, but I didn’t mind because they were super interesting. It was sexy, fairly low-angst, and interesting/highly entertaining. Just sayin’.)īut, long-story-short, this was a good read. (But, of course, that’s just not Logan’s style. Logan had every right to be angry at her and never speak to her again, in my opinion. I also saw ZERO reason why she had to be seperated from Logan at the end for 3 months.
I thought she was maybe being a little melodramatic about the whole no-one-can-know-who-I-am-I-can’t-trust-anyone schtick. It wasn’t like she was in WITSEC or anything. And while I’m being honest, I wasn’t totally buying her reasons for being on the run and maintaining her false identity. She’s just completely outclassed by Logan as far as I’m concerned.
He said he wouldn’t have sex with her until she trusted him, and he didn’t cave. He stuck to his guns when it came to Kit. He didn’t make the best first impression on Kit (he really did deserve that punch in the nose), but after that initial stumble, he was a perfect gentleman (while still managing to be protective, alpha, and all kinds of sexy).That’s just one example of his selflessness.
He doesn’t enjoying talking, but almost immediately talks to Kit, just because it’s easier for her that way.
